Research Protocol Title: THE TEACHER-STUDENT INTERACTION TO IMPROVE THE POLITICS INDEPENDENT LEARNING ABILITY OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN WEIFANG CITY, SHANDONG PROVINCE; Name of Investigator:Ziwen Yu;
University: RAJAMANGALA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY KRUNGTHEP.
Objective: The Independent Learning Ability Questionnaire assesses high school students' independent learning ability in political subjects (including goal-setting, etc.) to measure changes before and after teaching intervention.
00001.Necessity for Participation: Participation is critical to testing the effectiveness of interactive teaching on political independent learning; 240 Grade 10 students taking "Politics and Life" (120 in the experimental group and 120 in the control group), who need basic reading and writing skills and can participate throughout; Inclusion criteria: currently in Grade 10, attending classes regularly, able to complete Chinese tasks independently, and voluntary participation; Exclusion criteria: students with severe learning/cognitive impairments, a history of major mental illness, participation in similar studies, and inability to attend more than 80% of activities.
Explanation about the Independent Learning Ability Questionnaire: Instructions for Answering the Questionnaire: It is a self-reported scale using a Likert-type rating system. Participants should read each question carefully and select the option that best matches their actual situation or feelings, with no "right" or "wrong" answers. Honest responses are crucial for the accuracy of the research results. Do not skip any questions; if unsure, choose the option closest to their experience. They can take as much time as needed but are recommended to finish in one sitting to ensure consistency; The questionnaire covers the following topics:
1)Learning goal setting and planning skills (5 questions)
2)Independent thinking andindependent learning skills (5 questions)It uses a 5-point rating scale, where 1 (Strongly Disagree) means the statement is completely inconsistent with their actual learning habits or abilities (e.g., "I never set clear learning goals for political courses"), 2 (Disagree) means mostly inconsistent, 3 (Neutral) means partially matches or unsure, 4 (Agree) means mostly consistent, and 5 (Strongly Agree) means completely consistent (e.g., "I often actively collect and analyze political news to deepen my understanding of course content").
Confidentiality: Participant data is confidential and research-only; electronic data is encrypted, paper documents locked; data is permanently destroyed (electronically overwritten/deleted, paper shredded) ~5 years post-study.
00001.Rights of Survey Participants: Voluntary Participation: Responding to the questionnaire is entirely voluntary, with no coercion, pressure, or inducement from the research team, teachers, or school authorities; Right to Withdraw at Any Time: Participants can stop answering or withdraw at any stage without providing a reason, with no impact on academic evaluation, grades, class participation, or other student rights, and the research team will respect this decision unconditionally; Right to Refuse Specific Questions: Participants may skip any uncomfortable or unwanted questions without penalty, with incomplete responses accepted (though full participation improves data accuracy).
Benefits and risks: Benefits: Helps optimize political teaching; may prompt self-reflection on learning. Risks: Takes 15–20 minutes; some questions may cause mild discomfort (skipping allowed). Note: Data is anonymous; support available via investigator or counseling.
